The Davis Project

News coverage about Oliver and Patty Davis tugged at peoples’ heart for reportedly losing about $181,000 in their dealings with an unlicensed contractor. Today, their dream home located at 1425 Nogales Street, Sacramento, Ca, is in desperate need of repair as it stands boarded up and unlivable.

Phil Vanderloo, Hiline Builders (hilinebuilders.com) conceived this project and brought it to the attention of Rebuilding Together– Sacramento. State of BEing has done a great job over the years, working with Rebuilding Together. For this reason, Rebuilding Together has asked James to be Co-House Captain on this project with Phil Vanderloo. Thus, State of BEing, Rebuilding Together, Hiline Builders and sponsor, Bayside Church of Granite Bay, have joined forces to rebuild the Davis’ home. Your support will allow this partnership the ability to address the immediate needs of the Davis family.

Time is running out for the Davis family to bring their home up to code standards. Sacramento and its citizens can come together and not allow one man’s greed to shatter a family’s dream. Click for full story: http://www.sacbee.com/antelope/story/909902.html

Co-founder James Bufford started his dream of revitalizing homes at age 19 by rebuilding auto parts and running a house painting business. In 1987, he began his career at the Sacrament Municipal Utility District and his passion for rehabilitating homes.

Volunteers, supplies and donations are needed at this critical time.
